Mumbai’s café scene is fiercely competitive. Every few months, a new spot captures social media attention, drawing crowds eager to discover the city’s next must-visit destination. One of the latest names dominating Instagram feeds is Boojee Café, and naturally, expectations are high.

Located in Bandra, Boojee Café makes a strong first impression. Unlike many Mumbai cafés where space is at a premium, this outlet feels surprisingly roomy. The bright interiors, lively atmosphere, and constant buzz create an inviting setting that’s ideal for a casual catch-up or a relaxed coffee break.

To see whether the café’s popularity is justified, we sampled a House Cold Coffee, an Iced Latte, and the Thecha Cottage Cheese Sandwich.

The coffee offerings were decent without being exceptional. Both beverages delivered what you’d expect from a modern café, but neither stood out enough to become a destination-worthy order. They’re enjoyable, but the coffee alone isn’t the reason to visit.

The real highlight was the Thecha Cottage Cheese Sandwich. Packed with flavour and perfectly balanced between spice and comfort, it proved to be the star of the meal. More importantly, it felt worth its price tag — something that’s not always guaranteed in Mumbai’s premium café market.

Boojee Café’s biggest strength may actually be its food. While the coffee is solid, the menu appears to be where the kitchen truly shines. Combined with the welcoming ambience, it makes for an experience that’s easy to recommend.

There is one caveat. The café is consistently busy, and with guests often waiting for tables, this isn’t the kind of place where you’ll comfortably spend hours working on a laptop. Staff are constantly managing table turnover, and the pace reflects the demand.

For two people, the total bill came to approximately ₹1,300, which feels reasonable given the quality of the food, the location, and the overall experience.

Verdict

Boojee Café earns its popularity, though perhaps not entirely for the reasons social media suggests. The coffee is good, the atmosphere is energetic, but it’s the food — particularly the Thecha Cottage Cheese Sandwich — that makes the strongest case for a visit. If you’re looking for a comfortable Bandra café with reliable food and a lively vibe, Boojee Café deserves a spot on your shortlist.
